Skamokawa Resort is a designated National Historic District and is built on the original site of the famous Skamokawa Farmers Creamery. In 1898, the farmers in Skamokawa, purchased the first cooperative creamery on the West Coast. In 1901 The Creamery made 6,074 pounds of quality butter and by 1932 it shipped more than 11,000 pounds in one week as far away as San Francisco.
We are proud of our history and we are trying to keep the tradition of quality service to our guests and community. We are pleased to offer newly remodeled Guest Suites, Hotel, and General Store. Our Resort offers lodging for honeymoon couples, fishing buddies, sportsman, bird watchers, family gatherings, reunions or for those that just want to get away from the city.
The Resort is totally self contained with a Conference Center, General Store, Paddle Center and Post Office. Our guests can enjoy Redman Hall a restored School that is one of the best museums on the river, Skamokawa Fair grounds and Grange Hall, Vista Park and a restaurant all in walking distance.
Location
The resort is located 30 miles west of Longview, Wash., or a 90-minute drive northwest of Portland on Washington State Highway 4. Click here for a google map.
